?What does a team with a vehicle cost?
There are four levels, all with driver, fuel and travel included: 2 helpers with a van (12 m3) at 46 EUR/hr, 2 helpers with a 3.5t truck (20 m3) at 56 EUR/hr, 3 helpers with a 3.5t truck at 75 EUR/hr, and 4 helpers with a 7.5t truck at 99 EUR/hr.
?Why not just find helpers through classifieds?
Because nobody there is liable. With us your goods are covered by the statutory removal liability of 620 EUR per cubic metre, the helpers are registered, experienced and turn up at the agreed time. If a private helper drops your wardrobe, you carry the loss alone and get no invoice.
?How does billing in 30-minute increments work?
The minimum booking is 2 hours. After that, every started half hour counts: after 3 hours and 20 minutes you pay for 3.5 hours, not 4. There is no separate call-out fee and no hidden surcharge within Berlin.
?How many movers should I book?
A single room usually needs 2 helpers, a 2 to 3-room flat is comfortable with 3, and from 4 rooms or with stairs and no lift we suggest 4. Tell us the flat size and floor and we will give you an honest recommendation rather than the most expensive one.
?Do the movers bring tools and equipment?
Yes. Tools for simple dismantling are standard, and the vehicle teams also carry blankets and straps. Please flag bulky special items such as a piano in advance: as a single transport from 139 EUR, or added to a move for 95 EUR.
